Inundation on Jalan DI Panjaitan Quickly Handled

As many as 15 joint personnel were deployed to handle 15-30 cm inundation on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Cempedak Urban Village, Jatinegara District.

Joint personnel of Orange and Blue Troops were deployed to suck the water and clean water channels to smooth the water flow.

Head of Cipinang Cempedak, Rico Eka Putra Rifai said the inundation occurred at 7:30 AM coincided with the heavy rain. The worst flooding point was in front of the Patria Park Cawang area.

"We deploy 15 personnel to handle the inundation," he said, Monday (1/12).

Rico explained that, apart from the high rainfall intensity, the area is also a basin, so water easily pools.

Thanks to the quick response of personnel, the floodwaters gradually receded starting at 10:15 AM. By 10:30 AM, the water level remained around 5 to 10 centimeters, despite continued rain.

Meanwhile, one of the road users, Jonatan (39), appreciated the quick handling of the inundation.

"We can avoid being trapped in puddles that can cause vehicles to break down. Thanks to the personnel," he admitted.
